Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
Mountaintop Cyber, a trade name of Mountaintop Cyber Solutions, LLC (an Idaho limited liability company) ("Mountaintop Cyber", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through mountaintopcyber.com (the "Site"), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors, event ticket purchasers and people who contact us.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you buy a ticket, the payment is handled by Stripe, which collects your name, email address, billing details and payment information. We receive your name, email address, the amount paid and the status of your payment. When you email us, we keep your message, your contact details and any information you choose to send.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our servers and our delivery provider, Cloudflare, log technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request and the date and time of the request.
What we do not collect. We never see or store your full card number, expiration date or security code. These go directly to Stripe.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- process your order, issue tickets and receipts, and send event details and updates you need;
- respond to your questions, refund requests and support needs;
- detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents, and keep the Site running and secure;
- meet our legal, accounting, tax and recordkeeping obligations; and
- enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not use your information for advertising and we do not sell your personal information. We do not use automated decision-making that has legal effects on you.
3. How we share information
We share personal information only with:
- Stripe, Inc., which processes payments. Stripe is an independent controller of the information it collects. See the Stripe Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare, Inc., which provides content delivery, DNS and security services for the Site. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Email and hosting providers that help us operate, acting under our instructions.
- Professional advisers, such as accountants and attorneys, bound by confidentiality.
- Authorities and other parties, when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, to protect rights, safety and property, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the business.
4. Cookies
The Site uses only the cookies it needs to function, such as a session cookie for site administrators. We do not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies. Stripe may set its own cookies on its hosted checkout page for fraud prevention; see Stripe's policy above.
5. Retention
We keep order and payment records for as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal purposes (generally seven years). Email correspondence is kept as long as it is useful for the purpose it was sent for, and server logs are kept for a short period, normally not more than 90 days, unless needed to investigate an incident. We then delete or de-identify the information.
6. Security
We protect personal information with measures that include encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, software updates, firewalling and backups. No system is perfectly secure. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will investigate promptly and notify affected individuals and authorities as required by law, including Idaho's data breach notification statute (Idaho Code section 28-51-105).
7. Your choices and rights
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We may need to keep some information to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. To make a request, contact us using the details below; we may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within a reasonable time, generally within 45 days. If you live in a state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have additional rights, and we will honor valid requests as the law requires. You can opt out of non-essential email at any time by replying "unsubscribe". We send only transactional and event-related email unless you ask for more.
8. Do Not Track
The Site does not track you across other websites, so it does not respond to "Do Not Track" signals.
9. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Where information is processed
We are based in the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. By using the Site you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date, and where changes are material we will take reasonable steps to tell you.
